Community Development Facilitator

This is a unique opportunity to combine international work experience in community development projects whilst immersing yourself in Jamaican culture. Your duties will include creating asset maps in order to assess what needs to be improved, working with community members to ensure good governance and turning project proposals into realities. Alongside your volunteering programme you will have time to explore the island and experience a side of Jamaica that most tourists don't get to see. In the past, our volunteers have helped to improve community cohesion by organisation sports matches, they have organised health fairs and arts and music festivals and created intra-community youth programmes.

This is a fantastic chance to contribute to positive social change in areas where poverty is often overlooked. As well was learning new skills that are transferable to the job market, you will immerse yourself in local culture and traditions and learn to prepare delicious Jamaican cuisine or learn to dance dancehall. A well as providing group excursions and activities, the V2 experience is set up so that it allows our volunteers to have some free time to tailor the vacation to suit their needs. You can party with the locals, hike your way through the stunning landscape or just chillax on the beautiful beaches.
