Sol Abroad: Oaxaca, Mexico High School Program

Program Description

Sol Abroad is a program dedicated to high school students for study abroad and Spanish immersion. We are known as being a very personable and safe program. From the very moment the student arrives to Oaxaca until they leave they are part of the Sol Abroad family. The students live with our carefully selected host families who provide them 3 wonderful meals a day. Classes are taught Monday through Friday at the University of Oaxaca's language department. On this program our students earn college credit! Weekday activities in the afternoons are designed to highlight the very best that Oaxaca has to offer. On a Sol Abroad program students are constantly engaged and learning with much of the true eye-opening part of the experience happening outside of the classroom. Students complete a volunteer project with a local non-profit as part of the Oaxaca program. And, of course, the weekends are dedicated to traveling on our incredible excursions to visit indigenous villages, pre-Hispanic ruins, mountain springs and the Pacific Ocean!
