The Bakala Foundation offers two options for students interested in studying abroad
1) The SCHOLARSHIP program provides necessary support to talented and driven students from the Czech Republic (or residents living and studying in the Czech Republic on permanent basis) who are looking for an academic experience that will enrich them intellectually and propel them towards achieving their goals. The Foundation supports students who want more from studying abroad than language immersion and cultural exchange – we look for students who don’t just want to experience; they want to accomplish. 2) Summer course of journalism Journey 2015, which offers participants unique experience through interactive seminars conducted by professional journalists, editors and media personalities from world’s most renowned news outlets and agencies. Journey aims to bring together promising students of journalism and media from around the world and give them the opportunity to learn from top professionals from the field and to create an inspiring environment. Participants undergo series of workshops on current trends and tools used in reporting, data collection and analysis, investigative work and many more aspects of modern media as well as a number of exercises in simulated newsroom conditions. The course will be taking place August 8-18, 2015 in Prague and it is open for university students of journalism or media studies or aspiring young journalists from the following countries: Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Ukraine, United States of America.
