Doctorate of Management and Economics

The Doctorate of Management and Economics is a three-year or four-year programme taught in English language at the Faculty of Management and Economics (FaME) of Tomas Bata University in Zlín. This PhD study programme emphasizes on the methodology of research activities. Students can conduct research and specialize in management, enterprise economics, marketing or production and technology rationalization and within this degree course, students can also apply for a government scholarship. Graduates improve their professional skills in order to solve step by step highly challenging and complicated tasks and activities based on the three basic pillars of stability, development and forming of internal abilities in larger industrial and non-industrial, domestic or foreign organizations.

Duration: 6 or 8 semesters (3 or 4 academic years)
Mode of study: Full-time/part-time
Degree obtained: Doctoral (abbr. “Ph.D.”)
Tuition fee: approx. EUR 1,670 per 1 academic year
Scholarship: First-year students may be awarded the TBU PhD scholarship amounting up to CZK 96,000 (approx. EUR 3,560) per academic year (full-time students only). Starting from second year, the total annual amount is based on the student’s academic performance.
