BFA in Art History, Theory and Criticism

Program Description

This is an interdisciplinary program that combines artistic exploration in the studio with the academic research in visual arts. Students will learn about writings on art, invention within the visual artistic medium, and the growth of modern and contemporary art movements. Students will use a variety of techniques that are both experimental as well as traditional in order to develop a full range of skills in a myriad of disciplines.

Program highlights

Students will be able to benefit by being in Paris and surrounded by the vast resources available. There are galleries, museum collections, and research centers both in Paris and France as well as other European nations.

Graduates of this program will be able to continue onto higher academic graduate level studies in studio art, museum studies, and art history, among others. Graduates will also be able to pursue careers in nonprofit agencies, private foundations, and galleries.
