Program Description
Volunteers in serene and breathtaking Nepal are immersed in a vibrant culture. Most famous for Mount Everest, among hundreds of other remarkable sites, Nepal will capture your heart and soul with its customs and generous people. Nepali cuisine is known for its hearty, flavorful meals. Nepali people greet others with the traditional “Namaste.” Volunteers here are sought as caregivers at orphanages, teaching assistants at schools, and counselors.
United Planet is the US and Canadian member of the International Cultural Youth Exchange (ICYE). Volunteers are hosted by Nepal Volunteer Cultural Youth Exchange, ICYE’s partner organization in Nepal. NVCYE was established in 2004 to empower local communities to implement and organize community development, education and conservation projects.
