KINDER GARDEN AND CHILD CARE CENTER

This is a Kinder Garden and a Day Care Center based in the city of Quito, it gives attention to kids coming from families of low incomes from the South of Quito, their parents sell products in the markets, or are bus or taxi drivers, other kids live with their grandparents or with their aunt on uncle because their parents are working abroad or because they have been abandoned, other kids come fom families where themother has been abandoned by the father.
Volunteers help into different tasks always under the supervision of the local teachers (the volunteers work assisting to the teachers) they help by taking care of the kids, playing with them, feeding them, to help by teaching them basic English, arts, drawing, to help during the Sports time, to help in the elaboration of handcrafts, didactic material, and in general to help in all the activities such as singing with the kids, playing instruments with them , going with the teacher and the kids to play in the park near the institution, etc.

The posted cost of the program is based in 1 month participation, however the cost may vary according the length of the staying of each volunteer.

Also, if the volunteer wants he/he can take Spanish lessons during the afternoon
