Chimpanzee Sanctuary and Conservation Volunteering Zambia

Program Description

Travel to an isolated yet beautiful part of rural Africa and spend time enriching the lives of rescued chimpanzees. As a volunteer you'll be involved in behavioural enrichment activities, creating puzzles and toys for chimps, farming and feeding chimpanzees, building and construction projects and also spend time connecting with these wonderful creatures on a personal level.

Chimfunshi was once called 'the most wonderful place on earth' by Jane Goodall - come and give your time, energy and heart for a worth cause and join us on this amazing volunteer project.

Volunteering with chimpanzees on this project you’ll learn all kinds of interesting things about chimp behaviour and characteristics, social dynamics and threats. You’ll even learn a bit about animal tracking when you do boundary patrols, and you could find yourself taking home new skills like building, painting, planting and farming! Volunteers also learn to live in the true African bush, isolated from the Western world. This is a great platform for personal growth, self-awareness and appreciation for life’s little things. This project allows volunteers a real opportunity to make an impact at a grassroots level and to experience a new culture and way of life.
