Blue Ventures Marine Conservation Expedition in Belize

Program Description

Volunteer in helping with the survey efforts of the second largest barrier reef. Help to combat the incursion of the lionfish and preserve this beautiful ecosystem.

Volunteers come from across the globe and will be a part on our expeditionary dives. You will live in the Bacalar Chico Marine Reserve and the fishing village in Sarteneja and help with the community work and marine research.

We invite volunteers from retirees, career breakers, university graduates, and gap year students. We invite divers to help with our community work and marine research.

Volunteers will help monitor fish populations and reef health. Volunteers will collect data on expeditions and provide guidance to fisheries in the region.

There are year-round programs for our expeditions so that we can accommodate your schedule and availability. We invite you to join us and make a difference in the local marine research!
