Program Description
Novamova and SRAS invites all educators for an unforgettable experience of continuing your education in the history, culture, and politics in Georgia and Ukraine.
Georgia is an ancient land which has long been situated on the far borders of various empires and has served as a crossroads between East and West. Through that time, it has managed to preserve ancient traditions and language while simultaneously incorporating influences from other cultures. This makes Georgia, in its food, drink, music, landscape, and language, an impressive and unique country.
Ukraine is another fascinating country with a rich history as a center of power in Eastern Europe. Its capital, Kiev, is a beautiful ancient city which today serves as a home to millions of Ukrainians as well as plenty of museums, old districts, and monastery complexes. Ukraine’s has a fascinating and at times turbulent history, having been part of several empires and diverse language, ethnic, and religious groups. A firsthand understanding and experience of Ukraine cannot be underestimated!
