Volunteer Work with Orphans

In Tanzania there are still many orphaned kids. Orphanages do not get a lot of government support so they rely on gifts and volunteering to continue to exist. Volunteering in an orphanage will be a life-changing experience; you will make connections with these children that will stay with you the rest of your life. Activities differ from teaching, playing, playing sports, singing and dancing with the kids. There is also a chance that you will be asked to assist with cooking, washing clothes, cleaning or fulfilling other tasks at your orphanage placement. There are opportunities to start projects within your orphanage. A building project, raising money for a day trip or sponsoring a child are just some examples of what you could do during your time. But essentially just being there and giving these children some love and support will already change lives. Impact their life. Change yours. This experience might even affect the way that you live your life.
