Spanish and the Culture of Al-Andalus in Granada

This 1 week Spanish course features 4 classes each day to allow students to enhance their vacation with language study. The course is recommended for those who wish to combine a relaxed language course with the study of Spanish culture in real life situations. Students who are interested in improving their language skills are encouraged to join.

A written test and a self-assessment oral test will be sent with the course documents in order to assess your level. Students must turn in supporting documents no later than one week before the Spanish course starts. All Spanish courses begin on Monday.

Spanish classes are capped at 8 students per group and are held from Monday to Friday between 09.00 and 15.45 h. There are 4 Spanish lessons every day, lasting 45 minutes each. Students are placed into group (A1/A2/B1/B2/C1/C2) based on their placement exams. Our teachers are very experienced with evaluating students' language abilities.

A programme with workshops and guided visits about the culture of Al-Andalus in Granada is provided in the afternoons from Monday to Friday: Albaicin, Arabic bath, Alhambra, workshops about calligraphy and cooking.

Starting dates for intermediate levels in 2018: every Monday.

In the afternoons you will visit the Alhambra, the old Arabic quarter Albaicín and the Arabic bath. We will complement the guided visits with workshops about calligraphy and cooking.
