Senior Sports Trader

Our iGaming client is currently seeking a Senior Trader to oversee risk management, product optimization, pre match and in-play trading and the overall smooth running of their sportsbook operation ensuring a best in class service to our b2b brands. The Senior Trader will primarily be responsible for supervision of the Sportsbook offering with a focus on optimizing operational risk processes and actively examining trading performance. The Senior Trader will also take on a leadership role within the team, responsible for managing and leading a small team of traders.
Responsibilities
Execute and optimize the trading and risk management strategy
Accountable for the ‘day to day’ operations of the team
Supervisory role of an in-house risk and trading team
Training of Traders and Junior Traders
Monitor prices and control liabilities
Customer profiling
Odds compilation
Provide performance analysis and reporting.
Customer/Client centric at all times
Ability to decision make & work in high paced environment often under time pressure
Deliver a targeted and relevant sportsbook product specific to the customer base
Contribute on behalf of the team to strategy and planning meetings with key stakeholders
Measure team performance and maximize productivity
Work closely with 3rd party suppliers ensuring optimization of given products in operation

Requirements

3+ years in a trading/risk trading role
English Speaking, Reading & Writing Skills
Thorough knowledge of a wide variety of sports
Proven risk management skills in a high-volume environment
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Experience in a b2b environment advantageous
Strong mathematical skills
Flexibility required to work shifts often on weekends & evenings
Leadership experience in a trading environment advantageous
Experience and Knowledge of Asian Handicaps advantageous
Experience and Knowledge of US Sports advantageous
Mathematics, Quantitative or Stats based degree advantageous
