Operational Risk Officer

One of Malta’s largest online bank is seeking to recruit an Operational Risk Officer. So you if you are detail oriented and pro-active, this is the ideal job for you!

What’s is expected of you?

-Build professional relationships with stakeholders, by listening, advising, consulting and influencing the operational risk management across various business areas
-Assist the Risk function by producing management information and summarising key risk indicators and their trends
-Maintain the organisation’s risk register and coordinate Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) sessions
-Liaise with the Management with regards to testing of controls and ensure that the results and conclusions are clearly reported across the business areas
-Provide appropriate levels of constructive support when the business experiences operational risk events
-Assist the Management in preparing and maintaining the Bank’s business continuity plans by reviewing the success of the processes through periodical testing
-Participate in other work undertaken by the Operational Risk whilst, ensuring that the team’s deliverables are produced to a high standard
-Implement the three lines of defence model for the Operational Risk team to help support the embedding and maintenance of an effective and pragmatic approach towards operational risk management
-Deputise for the Operational Risk Manager in their absence

What are you expected to bring?

-Bachelor’s Degree in Maths, Statistics, or Finance
-Proficiency in MS Office
-Ability to work on own initiative and in a pro-active manner
-Strong problem-solving skills
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to drive change effectively
-Capable of building effective working relationships with stakeholders at every level of the business
-Aptitude towards personal development
