Enjoy your time abroad as you become closer with friends and have the adventure of a lifetime. Feel the freedom to find out who you are and who you could become under the relaxed, but observant, safety net provided by our welcoming and experienced staff. Get ready for the university lifestyle as you live in a residence as part of the Florence-Venice Program. Be a considerate roommate as you make your own bed, wash your clothes, and tidy up after yourself. Join in on preparing meals family-style as you live in a historic building. There are even frescos on the ceilings of certain apartments, so that you will always be surrounded by beauty. Step out the door and you will shortly find yourself at the Piazza del Duomo, the center of Florence, and the interesting outdoor market in San Lorenzo. You will have the peace and quiet of a calm neighborhood while being able to make the most of your time just by a quick walk.

Daily Schedule

Spend your four weeks wisely as you have the time to explore Venice and Florence while also boosting your education. You will be able to choose two classes to focus on while in Florence: a major and an elective. All majors will meet in the mornings while the electives will be taken three afternoons a week. You will have your other two afternoons to participate in fun activities like making gelato, museum touring, Frisbee adventures, or even taking a tip in the nearby pool. You will have plenty to choose from so that your interests and passions will always be met.

Day Trips

You will have the opportunity to get off the tourist path as you explore other fascinating gems in Florence. You will even be able to tour around Tuscany and the areas surrounding Florence. Hike cliffs along the Italian Riviera or strike a traditional pose in front of the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Enjoy these memorable sites with your friends and discover what motivates your passion for travel.

Optional Travel Extension – Venice

Wander the winding alleys and canals of Venice as you explore history, architecture, and culture. See the importance of art in everyday life in this optional travel excursion of five days that will come at the end of the program. Our itineraries are diverse and balance leisure and cultural education. Take in a street performance in Piazza San Marco or sip espresso in a café. Visit one of the world’s most beautiful cities and learn how it achieved historical and naval prominence.

Join our program and have the experience of a lifetime in Italy. This is an immersive program that combines three and a half weeks in Florence with an additional excursion to breathtaking Venice. Take this summer abroad to learn about sharing a residential area, boosting your world knowledge, and broadening your horizons.

Every street and building Florence is chock full of history and this city houses some of the most amazing gems from the Renaissance. Be inspired as you explore the intricate city, towering Duomo, and head out to the Tuscan countryside. Tantalize your senses with some of the most delicious food in the world and enjoy the strands of music that float through the city as you discover all of Florence’s secrets.
