Art in Tanzania is a self-sustainable Tanzanian non-profit NGO having hundreds of international interns annually in Tanzania in multi professional programs.
• Art in Tanzania is a NGO established 2001, registered as Tanzanian NGO on 2007 and working in Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar and in Moshi (Kilimanjaro).
• We have some 70 people staff, some 5-10 expatriates. We have 50-150 international volunteers and interns in Tanzania all year around. Participants live in our compounds and mainly focus on working in the surrounding schools etc.
• We work in education, social sector (incl. Children Agenda partnered by UNICEF), medical health, HIV AIDS, sports, music, art, making full movies, media, tourism and other programs.
Our community-based programs are to empower the local communities and individual people. For an intern it is to learn the real life in developing country but also to encounter the fastest growing economy in Africa giving many future opportunities for the students.
Interns are working in a team of international and Tanzanian multi professional intern teams. We encourage innovation in the program approach.
We are looking for to expand our field of international volunteering and internships to empower our work in Tanzania. We have both non-paid and paid internships.
